Sonitpur Journalist Union organizes off-campus OPD on 27-28 December at Tezpur

Sonitpur, December 22, 2014 – The Sonitpur Journalist Union, in association with GNRC Hospitals honoured three social icons of Sonitpur today, to recognize their contribution to Assamese culture and society. Noted sculptor Mr. Jay Chandra Das, Social worker, sportsman and veteran actor Mr. Atul Saikia and veteran musician, lyricist, artist Mr. Bankim Sarma were felicitated by Dr. Nomal Chandra Borah, Chairman-cum-Managing Director of GNRC, at the premises of Sonitpur Journalist Union, Tezpur, on the occasion of unveiling a report on the ‘State of Health & Care in Sonitpur’.

On the occasion, Mr. Manoj Saikia from the union also announced that GNRC Hospitals has consented to organize an off-campus OPD on Saturday, December 27, and Sunday, December 28, 2014 at Hem Barua Bhawan, Tezpur from 10 am onwards. With due initiative from Dr. Borah, his eminent colleagues, noted neurosurgeon Dr. Navanil Baruah, eminent cardiologist Dr. Anup Boro, and their teams will consult patients during these two days.

GNRC will also provide medical consultation by other leading doctors such as joint replacement specialist Dr. Pranjal Mahanta, neurologist Dr. Amit Ranjan Baruah, ENT specialist Dr. Miklu Senapati, gastrointestinal surgeon Dr. Pranjal Deka, endocrine surgeon Dr. Sunil Bujorbaruah and urologist Dr. Brojen Barman.
